Hi Guy, I have been enjoying following you on your trip through the pictures and comments on your blog. You have been to some amazing places! I was in Croatia two+ years ago and stayed in a fishing village near Split. The view from our apartment was almost the same as the vie from yours. Split is a town dating back to at least 2AD. It has a castle called the Diocletian Palace that was built by the Roman Emperor Gaius Aurelius Valarius Discletianus (how would you like that name) as his retirement home. It took 12 years to build and was finished in 305AD. Another cool place is Plitvice Lakes, a series of 16 lakes, on the UNESCO World Heritage Registar. You've probably been there but if not it might be a place to go before you leave Croatia. Continue you updates, I'm enjoying them and have wonderful journey through Europe! Deni Christensen
